The Union Public Service Commission is anticipated to release the final results of the Civil Services Examination 2025 within this week. Candidates who have completed the personality test will be able to access their results on the official website, upsc.gov.in.This announcement will confirm appointments to India’s premier civil services and provide details such as cut-off marks and the performance of leading candidates. Aspirants who clear the results will join cadres including the Indian Administrative Service, Indian Police Service, Indian Foreign Service, as well as the Indian Revenue Service, Indian Trade Service, and other Group A and B services.Vacancies and reserved postsFor 2025, the commission has notified 979 vacancies, a slight decrease from the 1,105 posts offered in 2024 and 2023. The total includes 38 posts reserved for Persons with benchmark disabilities. Of these, 12 vacancies are for candidates with blindness and low vision, seven for the deaf and hard of hearing, 10 for locomotor disabilities — covering cerebral palsy, leprosy cured, dwarfism, acid attack victims, and muscular dystrophy — and nine for candidates with multiple disabilities.Personality test conducted at Dholpur HouseThe interview round, which carries 275 marks without a minimum qualifying mark, was conducted from January 2026 at the UPSC headquarters in Dholpur House, Shahjahan Road, New Delhi. Marks from the Preliminary, Mains, and Personality Test stages are combined to prepare the final merit list.How to check resultsCandidates can view their scorecards by visiting upsc.gov.in, selecting the ‘UPSC CSE Results’ link, entering login credentials, and downloading the card.Top performers in previous cycleIn 2024, Shakti Dubey secured the top rank, followed by Harshita Goyal at Rank 2, Dongre Archit Parag at Rank 3, Shah Margi Chirag at Rank 4, and Akash Garg at Rank 5. Among the top 25 candidates, 14 were men and 11 women. Out of 1,009 candidates recommended for appointment, 725 were men and 284 were women.
