Sanjay is father to three children. As reported by IANS, Trishala was born in 1988 from his first marriage to the late Richa Sharma, who sadly passed away in 1996 due to a brain tumour. Trishala now lives in the United States and works as a psychotherapist.In 2008, Sanjay married actress Maanayata Dutt. The couple has twins, a son named Shahraan and a daughter called Iqra, born in 2010.

On the work front, Sanjay has been cast in an important role in Aditya Dhar’s film ‘Dhurandar’. This will be his first time sharing the screen with Ranveer Singh. The movie also stars R. Madhavan, Arjun Rampal, Akshaye Khanna, and others. Directed by Aditya Dhar, ‘Dhurandar’ is set against the backdrop of a high-stakes intelligence operation. The film is expected to release on December 5.
