Pune: Players from R B Horangee and St Felix High School delivered a dominant performance at the 4th Open National Taekwondo Championship, clinching a combined haul of 35 gold, 40 silver, and 15 bronze medals to finish first overall. The athletes excelled across multiple disciplines, including kyorugi, poomsae, speed kick, speed punch, jump kick breaking, self-defence, and hapkido, showcasing depth and versatility.The national-level championship drew over 1,300 participants from states such as Maharashtra, Karnataka, Haryana, Gujarat, and Andhra Pradesh. Newly elected corporator Yogesh Mulik, Narayan Galande, Shweta Galande, Kavita Galande, social worker Maruti Galande, Mahendra Garande, Sandip Jarad, Pramod Nimhan, Vinayak Nimhan, Shantanu Galande, Vilas Galande, Eknath Bhandari, Tirupati Bhandari, Basavraj Bhandari and other several civic representatives and social leaders attended the event and congratulated the winners, while former corporator Shrinath Bhimale sent his wishes through a letter.The tournament was attended by eminent Grand Masters and Masters from the taekwondo fraternity.
