Ranveer Singh and Aditya Dhar’s Dhurandhar has not only dominated the domestic box office but has also put up an impressive show overseas. In just eight days, the film has minted over USD 5.25 million in North AmericaWith this feat, Dhurandhar has firmly established itself as the 4th biggest Indian film of the year after Rajinikanth- Lokesh Kanagaraj’s Coolie ( USd 6.95 million) , Vicky Kaushal- Laxman Utekar’s Chhaaava( USD 6.44 million) and Mohit Suri, Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda’s Saiyaara( USD 6.22 million) .
The film began its overseas journey on a solid note with an opening day collection of USD 522K, reflecting healthy advance bookings and strong initial curiosity. Momentum picked up quickly over the first weekend, as Dhurandhar collected USD 852K on Day 2 and on Day 3 indicating excellent word of mouth and packed shows across key markets in the US and Canada.Like most releases, the film saw a weekday dip on Monday, earning USD 489K, but the drop remained within a controlled range. What followed was a commendable hold through the weekdays. On Day 5, collections rose to USD 597K, followed by USD 581K on Day 6 and USD 528K on Day 7.
The real surprise came on Day 8 (second Friday), when Dhurandhar bounced back strongly with USD 830K till early evening , one of the film’s best single-day performances overseas and highest 2nd Friday collection for an Indian film ever. This second-Friday surge pushed the film’s eight-day North America total to approximately USD 5.25 million, officially placing it in the USD 5 million club in record time.While the film still has ground to cover to match Ranveer Singh’s biggest successes in North America, the achievement remains significant. Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani had enjoyed an extended and steady run to collect USD 10.6 million, while Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s epic Padmaavat remains Ranveer’s highest North American grosser with USD 12.17 million. Compared to these titles, Dhurandhar has shown a much faster pace in its opening stretch.Dhurandhar also features Akshaye Khanna, Arjun Rampal, R Madhavan, Sanjay, Dutt, Sara Arjun, Rakesh Bedi and Gaurav Gera in leading roles.
