The much-awaited trailer of ‘Patriot’ is finally out and from the looks of it, the.Malayalam superstars Mammootty and Mohanlal have teamed up for a very intense spy thriller Mollywood has never seen before. Directed by Mahesh Narayanan, the film is billed as one of the most ambitious projects in Malayalam cinema and the trailer offers a gripping glimpse into a high-stakes covert mission filled with action and suspense.

Mammootty is shown as a vlogger who takes a lecture about a software that has a unique power to act as a surveillance and later he is shown as someone on a run, carrying a sensitive information.Mammootty’s character is seen getting a much-needed help from Lalettan aka Mohanlal. The trailer features several action-packed moments with the two veterans. Mammootty and Mohanlal reunite on screen after 18 years and their on-screen chemistry has already sparked huge interest among fans.
Plot and characters in ‘Patriot’
The story revolves around a retired JAG officer who is played by Mammootty. He is wrongfully framed for espionage and takes up a covert mission to clear his name and also to protect his nation – something that a true Patriot is supposed to do.
Mohanlal’s character assists his old friend despite serious risks involved. Nayanthara features in an important role. She advises a young woman during a tense scene.Revathy expresses concerns about a civilian mission and Fahadh Faasil introduces a new software called Samaj Seva. Fahadh’s character seems to have a grey shade.

Interestingly, the trailer was unveiled in two main theatres in Kochi and Thrissur. Mohanlal made a grand entrance for the trailer launch of ‘Patriot’ and Mammootty unveiled the trailer simultaneously at Ragam Theatre in Thrissur.Fans packed the theatres from 4 PM onwards and in a video shared on Twitter, it can be seen that Mohanlal is asking the audiences whether to play the trailer once more.
