The National Service Scheme (NSS) unit of D.J. Sanghvi College of Engineering will organise its annual blood donation drive on February 26, 2026, at the college campus in Vile Parle (West), Mumbai. The institution is located opposite Cooper Hospital, a factor organisers say underlines the relevance of the initiative for nearby medical facilities.According to the organisers, the drive aims to encourage students, faculty members, non-teaching staff and residents from the surrounding areas to donate blood voluntarily. The initiative is part of the college’s ongoing community outreach activities conducted through its NSS unit.This year’s drive has been planned around the theme of the Indian Defence Forces, reflecting values such as service and duty. The theme is intended to acknowledge the contribution of armed forces personnel and to encourage citizens to participate in activities that support public welfare.The blood donation camp will be conducted in association with authorised medical professionals and a recognised blood bank. Organisers have stated that standard medical protocols will be followed during the camp.
