Indian Army NCC 124th October Course 2026: Applications to open on February 13, check eligibility details

The Indian Army will begin the online application process for the NCC Special Entry Scheme 124th Course from February 13, 2026. The course is scheduled to commence in October 2026. A total of 76 vacancies have been announced for unmarried male and female candidates, including wards of battle casualties of Army personnel. Eligible candidates who hold an NCC ‘C’ Certificate and meet the required educational qualifications will be able to apply through the official website, joinindianarmy.nic.in. There will be no written examination under this entry. Candidates will be shortlisted directly for further stages. Interested applicants must submit their forms before the closing date of March 16, 2026.

Indian Army NCC: Who can apply and when

The online application window will open on February 13, 2026, and will close on March 16, 2026. Candidates are advised to complete the registration process well before the deadline.A total of 76 vacancies have been notified. Out of these, 63 posts are for NCC men and 5 posts are for NCC women. For wards of battle casualties, 7 vacancies are reserved for men and 1 vacancy for women.No application fee will be charged from candidates of any category.Interested candidates can check the official recruitment notification released by the Indian Army below.

Eligibility criteria and age limit

Candidates must be between 19 and 25 years of age as on July 1, 2026. They should have been born between July 2, 2001, and July 1, 2007, both dates inclusive.Applicants must hold a Bachelor’s degree in any stream from a recognised university with at least 50 per cent aggregate marks. Final year students can also apply, provided they have secured a minimum of 50 per cent marks in the first two or three years of their degree course.Candidates must have served for at least two academic years in the Senior Division or Wing of NCC and must possess a valid NCC ‘C’ Certificate.

Selection process and how to apply

There will be no written examination for this entry. Applications will be shortlisted, and selected candidates will be called for the Services Selection Board (SSB) interview.Candidates who clear the SSB interview will undergo a medical examination. Final merit will be prepared based on performance in the SSB and medical fitness.To apply, candidates need to visit joinindianarmy.nic.in, register, fill in the required details, upload documents, and submit the form online.
