Veteran actress Elyse Donalson, known for her roles in ‘Halloween: The Curse of Michael Myers’ and ‘The X-Files’, has passed away at 78. Donalson, who began her acting journey in Texas before moving to Los Angeles, also appeared in ‘The Real Thing’ and ‘Switched at Birth’. Her sister confirmed the news of her recent passing in Studio City.

Elyse Donalson, who was best known for her roles in ‘Halloween: The Curse of Michael Myers’, ‘The X-Files’, ‘The Real Thing’, and ‘Switched at Birth’, has passed away. The actress was 78 at the time of her passing.The actress left for her heavenly abode recently, on January 28, in her home in Studio City. The news was reported by The Hollywood Reporter and was confirmed by her sister, Harriet Meyer. The cause of her demise has not yet been shared with the public.

Elyse Donalson was born on October 5, 1947, in Victoria, Texas. She came from a humble background, as her father worked as a manager of a family lumberyard, while her mother was a church secretary and bookkeeper. After her initial education, Donalson pursued higher studies at Southwest Texas State University, where she started starring in plays and discovered her love for acting. Born in Texas, however, later in life, she moved to Los Angeles in the 1980s in order to pursue a career in acting. She started starring in minor roles in a lot of TV shows and popular sitcoms, slowly establishing her footing in the entertainment industry at the time. These included shows like ‘The Practice’, ‘Doogie Howser’, ‘M.D.’, ‘Anything But Love’, ‘Chicago Hope’, and ‘Beverly Hills’, to name a few.Her major break came when she starred in a brief side role in ‘Halloween: The Curse of Michael Myers.’ She played the role of one of Myers’ victims, and starred alongside Paul Rudd, whose character she starteles in the film after being stabbed. Another one of her most remembered roles came from ‘Dr. Quinn,’ where she appeared in the 1993 instalment titled ‘Mike’s Dream: A Christmas Tale.’ She played the role of Ms Marley, who blames Dr Mike (played by Jane Seymour) for her husband’s untimely demise. She is survived by her sister Harriet, as well as her nieces Kellie and Kate, her brother-in-law, Jimmie, her great-nieces, Madison, Macy, and Piper, along with her great-nephew, Clay.
