The family tree is easier to trace than you might think. Kareena married Saif Ali, and they have two sons—Taimur, born in December 2016, and Jeh, born in February 2021. Saif is not only the son of the Nawab of Pataudi but also the son of the legendary actress Sharmila Tagore. The Tagore connection comes through Sharmila’s lineage: her grandmother, Latika Tagore, was the granddaughter of Dwijendranath Tagore, Rabindranath Tagore’s brother. This makes Taimur and Jeh great-great-grandsons of the Nobel laureate Rabindranath Tagore himself.

Interestingly, Kareena comes from the legendary Kapoor family, often called the first family of Indian cinema. Her father, Randhir Kapoor, is the son of Raj Kapoor, who was the son of the iconic Prithviraj Kapoor. This means that both Taimur and Jeh are connected not only to Nobel Laureate Rabindranath Tagore but also to one of Indian cinema’s greatest pioneers, Prithviraj Kapoor.
