NEW DELHI: Air India on Saturday said that a data network outage at Mumbai’s Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport would cause delays in flight operations, including its own services, from the country’s second-busiest airport. The airline noted that the outage, which had disrupted check-in systems at the airport and delayed departures, has since been resolved. However, some flights may continue to be affected for a while as operations return to normal.
“A third-party data network outage had impacted check-in systems at Mumbai airport, thereby delaying flight departures of airlines, including Air India. The systems have since been restored, however, some of our flights may continue to be affected for some time as the situation normalises progressively,” Air India posted on X.
