Selection process: Written test, PST, PET and viva voce

The physical stages assess height, chest (for male candidates), endurance, and physical fitness through events such as running and long jump. Shortlisted candidates will then be called for a viva voce or psychometric assessment, depending on the post.The written examination is expected to test general knowledge, reasoning, aptitude, comprehension, and knowledge of Assam and India, with provisions for negative marking.
Pay scale and service benefits
Selected candidates will be appointed under Pay Band-II, with a salary range of Rs 14,000 to Rs 70,000 per month, along with grade pay and allowances as per Assam government rules.
