Former actress Anita Advani, who shared a 12-year relationship with Rajesh Khanna, has spoken out about his disputed will, which she claims was never revealed to her. Advani is seeking a dignified life and respect, not money, from Khanna’s family. She also revealed her autobiography about their relationship was sabotaged, with Khanna’s name even altered.

Anita Advani, a former Indian actress who is best known for ‘Rocky’ and ‘Karz,’ recently opened up about her time with famed actor Rajesh Khanna. The two were together for almost 12 years until the actor’s untimely demise in 2012. Recently, she opened up about what life was like with the actor, his will, how she was treated by his family, as well as other aspects of their relationship.

Rajesh Khanna and Dimple Kapadia had abruptly gotten married, and after a while, their marriage hit a rough patch and ended in their separation. The two had stayed together legally for a long time; however, Khanna had stayed with his partner, Anita Advani, up until he passed away in 2012. Advani recently opened up about her relationship during an interview with Vickey Lalwani.While talking about the late actor, Advani recalled that Khanna had created a will before his passing that was never revealed to her. She shared that she is fighting for her rights as she wants to live a dignified life. “I want to live the way I have lived. Woh bungalow toh waapis aa nai sakta, toh ek dignified life mai jeena chahti hun”, (That bungalow cannot come back, but I still wish to live a dignified life now) the star revealed, further citing that she has never laid eyes on the will. She shared that “Yeh maloom tah ki sabke liye hai bahut kuch,” (I knew that the will had a lot of things listed for a lot of people.) When the interviewer asked about what she is seeking from her fight, and whether it is security or money from the actor’s family, Advani refused. She stated, “It’s not money. It’s also my respect. More than anything else, and also the way I want to be, the way I was. I have a right to do that.”

Rajesh Khanna’s affair with Tina Munim

During the interview, the actress also briefly touched upon Tina Munim and Rajesh Khanna’s relationship. When the interviewer asked her about whether Khanna had detailed on his relationship with Munim, she revealed that the actor simply shared that his relationship with Munim was a good one. He had, however, never detailed what happened between the two and why they broke up.

Anita Advani’s book was sabotaged

Anita Advani also detailed a book that she had written about her life and relationship with Rajesh Khanna. She shared that she had self-published a book under a big-name publisher to get her story about her life out there. She had wished to publish the book on Khanna’s birthday as a dedication to the actor; however, at the time of its release, her book was heavily sabotaged.She shared that the book was first off all told to be fictitious. She added, “Likha tha, kitaab ke introduction tha usme likha tha. Kitaab me nai chap cuka tha, kitaab ke publicity me tha.” (It was directly written in the introduction of the book. It was not included in the book, but in the promotional material.) She further revealed that proper material had been sent to the publishers; however, a lot of things had been changed about her book to ruin the release. “Arey bana ke gae the itne badiya posters, aur maine yeh kaha ki yeh kya hai, par company se koi phone hi nahi utha raha tha,” (proper posters had been made for the book and sent to the publishers, after which I tried to question them, but nobody picked up my call) she further added. Not only that, but the former actress also revealed that Rajesh Khanna’s name was also changed to ‘Rakesh Khanna,’ which felt extremely disrespectful to his memory.She also added that she contacted the publishers; however, was told that it was an intern’s fault. “Woh kehte hai intern ki galti thi, usne ChatGPT me daalke usko kuch kiya tha. Maine kaha ‘Who is she?’” (They said that it was the intern’s fault and that the content was run through ChatGPT.) She further questioned why they thought it was okay to change anything. She pursued a case at the time; however, due to time constraints, she never went on with it.
