Grammy-nominated country star Post Malone gave fans in Guwahati, Assam a night to remember, with his electrifying and emotional gig. The singer took over the stage for his first-ever solo headline performance in the country. While fans were ready for a night of good music, it was Post’s touching tribute to late Assamese legend Zubeen Garg that had everyone abuzz on social media. A video of Malone paying tribute to Garg while addressing the crowd has gone viral online. He said, “To be in the home of the great legendary Zubeen tonight, ladies and gentlemen… I just hope everyone has a gread day and a great night. My name is Austin Richard Post, and I’ve come to play some s****y songs and party hard while we do it.”

About Zubee’s death case

Zubeen Garg passed away on 19 September 2025 while swimming during an outing in Singapore. The initial cause of death was recorded as drowning.In the months since, the circumstances surrounding his death took a more serious turn, with authorities treating his death as a suspected murder. In an update on the case, Special Director General of Police of Criminal Investigation Department (CID), Munna Prasad Gupta, while addressing a press conference, said, “The investigation is almost complete. The details will be given in the charge sheet.”Gupta, who is leading the Special Investigation Team (SIT) probing Garg’s death, said seven arrests have been made so far and over 300 witnesses examined.He refused to share further details, adding that more will be known once the charge sheet is submitted.
