On Sunday, after sharing the statement about calling off their wedding, Palash and Smriti unfollowed each other on social media. Smriti deleted all pictures and videos of her engagement, pre-wedding festivities, and posts with Palash. Meanwhile, Palash also deleted two of his posts, the proposal video and the World Cup victory celebration clip. Several of his other pictures with Smriti are in place on his social media handle. In the comment section of these posts, netizens trolled Palash. Asked him to delete all the posts or his entire Instagram account.
“Bhai ye photo reh gayi delete karna,” “Photo delete karna bhul gya kya,” wrote internet users on a post of Palash, shared on January 6, 2025, pointing out that Palash missed deleting this picture. An internet user tagged Palak Mucchal, requesting her to ask her brother to delete the pic with Smriti and remove her tattoo from his arm. Commenting on a post shared on July 14, 2024, featuring Palash and Smriti, where the music composer wished Mandhana on her birthday, a netizen wrote, “@palakmuchhal3 ask ur brother to remove this pictures, he don’t deserve our team India vice captain also ask him to remove tattoos too which is inked just for show off. May god bless your brother and your family.”

I truly hope we, as a society, learn to pause before judging someone based on unverified gossip, whose sources are never identified. Our words can wound in ways we may never understand,” he mentioned, refuting cheating claims made against him during this time. He concluded the note by saying that his team would take legal action against those defaming him.
