Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India has opened its first-ever EV Concept Store at Mantri Square Mall in Bengaluru. Alongside the debut of this retail space, the company also rolled out an affordable ownership model for its Activa e: scooter. Under the new “BaaS Lite” plan, customers can now experience electric mobility by paying just Rs 678 per month. Here’s a quick look at the details that you need to know.
Honda’s new affordable plan for Activa e: battery subscription:
Activa E users opting for the Lite plan will be entitled to up to 12 battery swaps each month. Any additional swaps beyond this limit will incur a charge of Rs 180 per swap. Honda’s all-electric take on its popular scooter is offered in two variants: the Standard, priced at Rs 1.17 lakh, and the RoadSync Duo, which comes in at Rs 1.52 lakh (both ex-showroom). The scooter is powered by a 6kW motor paired with two 1.5kWh swappable batteries, offering a claimed range of 102 km on a single full charge.With the BaaS Lite plan, users can swap batteries at designated stations, ideal for riders with limited daily travel needs. Honda is also continuing its existing Basic and Advance subscription plans at Rs 1,999 and Rs 3,599 per month, offering 35 kWh and 87 kWh energy usage respectively.
Honda’s new EV concept store:
The concept store features a massive interactive LED display showcasing Honda’s global electrification journey. Visitors can explore the evolution of Honda’s technology through the history wall, while the Product Display Zone highlights the Activa e: and the QC1, Honda’s electric offerings for the Indian market. The store also includes a Kids Interaction Zone, and a Safe Tech Zone.It also showcases Honda’s global innovation in personal mobility, including a scale model of the Honda Jet, the Moto Compacto, a foldable electric scooter weighing just 19 kg, and the high-performance eGX electric go-kart powered by swappable batteries.
