Rajinikanth is all set for the release of his film ‘Coolie’ this Thursday. The superstar is currently busy with the promotions of his film. And during one such event, he shared an anecdote from his younger days. The actor talked about how for the first time he cried while working as a coolie. When Rajinikanth worked as a coolie
According to a Mid-Day report, Rajinikanth revealed that his father once asked him to work as a coolie and lift sacks. Sharing one episode, the actor said that he loaded three sacks on a handcart and started off. However, according to the veteran star, a quick 500-metre trip turned into a 1.5 km one, as there was a roadblock due to an accident.He further revealed that balancing the sack was a tough task and the road was full of big vehicles, bumps, and potholes. He said, “Every bump or pothole threatened my load.”Rajinikanth further shared that after one sack fell on the ground, people shouted at him and questioned why he brought the cart on the road and who gave him that work. He shared, “I suppose I looked too skinny to be doing the job.”He picked them and pushed the cart and finally reached the destination. At that time, Rajinikanth revealed, his uncle asked him to load sacks into the tempo. After doing the task, he asked for money.
Rajinikanth reveals why he cried for the first time
Concluding the story, he said that the man handed Rs 2 and told him to keep it as a tip. The actor quickly recognised the voice and learnt the person was his college mate Muniswamy – the same guy he used to tease.
Rajinikanth shared, “He looked at me and said, ‘You acted so big, and now look at you!’ Leaning on those sacks, I cried. That was the first time in my life I cried.”
