Salman Khan’s bodyguard Shera who is now quite popular himself, has lost his father. Shera’s real name is Gurmeet Singh Jolly and his father Sunder Singh Jolly has passed away on Wednesday at the age of 88 after a prolonged battle with cancer. As he mourns the loss of his father Shera has shared an official statement. He said, “My father Shri Sunder Singh Jolly has left for heavenly abode today.” He also included details for those wishing to pay their respects, stating, “The last journey will start at 4 PM from my residence 1902, The Park luxury Residences, Off Lokhandwala Back Road, Oshiwara, Andheri West, Mumbai.”
The news comes just a few months after Sunder Singh’s 88th birthday, which Shera had celebrated with a heartfelt tribute on Instagram. Posting a series of photos with his father, he wrote: “Happy 88th birthday to the strongest man my God my father, my inspiration! Every bit of strength in me comes from you. Love you dad always!” Shera has long been a familiar face to Bollywood fans, having served as Salman Khan’s trusted bodyguard since 1995. His real name, Gurmeet Singh Jolly, is known to few, as he gained fame under the moniker “Shera” after years of loyalty and dedication to the actor. Beyond his personal duties for Salman, he runs Tiger Security, a firm that manages protection for multiple celebrities. Notably, his team was responsible for overseeing international pop star Justin Bieber’s security during his 2017 concert in Mumbai. Before stepping into the world of celebrity security, Shera was a decorated bodybuilder in the late 1980s, having earned accolades in various competitions. His entry into Salman Khan’s inner circle in the early 90s. Since then, he’s always been by Salman’s side. Infact, Shera has also vouched to protect Salman till his last death, thus, proving his loyalty towards the superstar.
