Candidates seeking admission to undergraduate engineering programmes in private colleges across Karnataka can complete the application process through the official website of the Consortium of Medical, Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka.The entrance exam will be conducted on May 9, 2026, in computer-based test (CBT) mode, and is expected to be held at multiple exam centres across the country.

The examination authority announced the extension of the registration window to accommodate candidates who could not complete their applications earlier. Eligibility criteria for engineering aspirants

To apply for COMEDK UGET 2026, candidates must have passed Class 12 or equivalent examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects, along with one optional subject such as Chemistry, Biotechnology, Biology, Computer Science, or Electronics.General category candidates must obtain at least 45% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics (PCM) in the qualifying examination, while 40% marks are required for candidates belonging to reserved categories of Karnataka. Students appearing for their Class 12 board exams in 2026 are also eligible to apply.

COMEDK exam pattern and marking scheme

The COMEDK UGET 2026 examination will consist of 180 multiple-choice questions from three subjects: Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.Each section will include 60 questions, making a total of 180 questions to be completed in three hours. According to the official exam pattern, candidates will receive one mark for every correct answer, and there is no negative marking for incorrect responses.The examination will be conducted only in English, and questions will be based on the Class 11 and Class 12 syllabus.
