Punjab PSSSB recruitment 2026: The Punjab Subordinate Services Selection Board (PSSSB) has released a recruitment notification for 197 Excise and Taxation Inspectors in the Excise and Taxation Department, Punjab. The recruitment notification was released under Advertisement No. 01/2026, and online applications were invited from February 14, 2026. The last date for online applications is today, March 16, 2026, which is the final day for eligible candidates to apply online through the official website.Applicants who have already applied for a recruitment notification under Advertisement No. 14/2024 are required to apply for the ongoing recruitment process. However, these applicants are exempted from paying the application fee. These applicants will have their age eligibility criteria cutoff date calculated as January 01, 2024.Key dates and application feesThe recruitment notification was published on February 14, 2026, and the online application process began the same day. Candidates must complete submission before the closing time today. The written examination date will be announced later by the board.Application fees vary by category. Candidates in the General, FF and ESP categories must pay Rs. 1000. Applicants belonging to SC, BC and EWS categories are required to pay Rs. 250. The fee for PH or PWD candidates is Rs. 500, while ESM applicants must pay Rs. 200.Vacancies, eligibility and age criteriaThe recruitment drive offers 197 vacancies for the post of Excise and Taxation Inspector. Applicants must hold a graduate degree from a recognised university and should have completed a 120-hour computer course.Candidates applying for the post must be between 18 and 37 years of age. The age calculation will be based on January 01, 2026, with relaxation applicable according to government rules.Selection process and recruitment stagesThe selection process will begin with a written examination conducted by PSSSB. The candidates who qualify in the test will be called for document verification. The final phase of the selection process is a medical test.The candidates should ensure that they have filled in all the necessary information in the online form before submitting the form.
