The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is expected to release the CTET Answer Key 2026 on its official website, ctet.nic.in. Once released, candidates who appeared for the Central Teacher Eligibility Test will be able to access and download the answer key from the official portal using their login credentials. The provisional key is likely to be issued today, according to media reports.Along with the provisional answer key, the board will also open the objection window. Candidates will be allowed to challenge any answer they find incorrect by paying a non-refundable fee of Rs 1,000 per question. To download the answer key, candidates need to visit the official website and click on the answer key link for the CTET exam. Then candidates need to log in using their roll number and date of birth. After entering the details, the answer key will appear on the screen.The link will remain available only through the official portal, and candidates are advised to check the website regularly for updates.Steps to raise objections against provisional keyCandidates who wish to challenge any answer must log in to ctet.nic.in and click on the objection submission link. After selecting the question to be challenged, they need to follow the instructions and complete the payment of Rs 1,000 per question. The objection will be considered only after successful submission and payment. No requests will be accepted after the deadline.Minimum qualifying marks for CTETTo qualify the examination, candidates from the general category must secure at least 90 out of 150 marks, which is 60 per cent. Candidates belonging to SC and ST categories need a minimum of 82 marks out of 150, equivalent to 55 per cent.Details of the exam and eligibility criteria after qualifying the examThe CTET 2026 exam was held on February 7 and 8, as the number of candidates was very large, exceeding 2.5 million, for which multiple centers were set up. This exam is conducted twice a year. Candidates who clear paper 1 are eligible for Classes 1 to 5, while those who clear paper 2 are eligible for Classes 6 to 8 in central government schools like Kendriya Vidyalayas, Navodaya Vidyalayas, and Army schools.
