TS PGECET 2026: The Telangana State Post Graduate Engineering Common Entrance Test (TS PGECET) 2026 schedule has been officially announced by Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University (JNTU), Hyderabad on behalf of the Telangana State Council of Higher Education (TSCHE). According to the official notification: The online application process begins on February 27, 2026. Candidates must submit their completed forms by May 6, 2026. This period will give the students enough time to prepare and enroll at the official portal pgecet.tgche.ac.in in time.

TS PGECET 2026: Application fee and qualification

In the case of the entry test: General category students have to pay an application fee of 1,100. Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST) and Persons with Disabilities (PwD) students will have a lower fee of 600.In order to be eligible in TS PGECET, a candidate has to achieve a minimum of 25 percent of the total marks. Nevertheless, SC/ST students are not obliged to reach this minimum, they can also be ranked even though they do not achieve the 25 percent mark regarding merit.

TS PGECET 2026: Ranking and admission

The rank that would be awarded to the candidate based on the marks that they are getting in the entrance exam will be used in the admission counselling and allotment of seats to the candidates in the postgraduate programmes. Higher rank also has the advantage of increasing the chances of receiving favoured colleges and courses at counselling.The counselling information, including the date of registration, filling of choice, and verification of certificate will be published separately on the official TS PGECET admission portal once the exam results have been announced.TS PGECET is among the most significant state level entrance examination in engineering and pharmacy postgraduate students in the state of Telangana. It is a door to a wide range of technical and professional degrees of higher levels and a critical factor in determining the academic destinies of many students.
