Candidates must be registered with a State Nursing Council.Applicants who have passed Class 12 and completed a three-year Diploma in General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) must have at least two years of work experience after registration.Applicants who have cleared Class 10 and possess a three-year GNM diploma must have a minimum of five years of work experience after registration. Male nurses or applicants who have not pursued midwifery as part of GNM studies must possess a certificate in nursing course as prescribed by the Indian Nursing Council in lieu of midwifery training.
