But this endless pursuit of materialist and temporary pleasures often leaves us anxious, afraid of losing what we have, and terrified of what we don’t have yet.The Gita has a different perspective of viewing things, and it teaches us that the reason behind this fear is due to attachment, the emotions that we hold on to people, results- favourable or unfavourable, and things that are not under our control.Attachment doesn’t mean love or care- if it disturbs us then it is actually desire and our want for things to be only a specific way, as we want for our happiness to remain intact.
